BEARER OF GOOD NEWS

Everywhere we turn------ we hear, see, read, and feel---the impact of this economy.
Doom and Gloom!!!
Company closings, credit crunches, employment cuts, losses--------then this turns to lawsuits, divorces, suicides, robberies, increased overall crime, foreclosures..........

So Gay what's the good news???

Every single person we come in contact with------
personal level: neighbor, friend, relative, hairdresser, doctor, grocery clerk, ...
business level: gatekeeper, cold call, past client, current client, ...
is a PROSPECT!!!

Our main service...Staffing...is the only service or product I have ever sold that EVERYONE either needs or knows someone that needs, if not TODAY in the FUTURE.

When you hear: we don't use
we are cutting back
corporate in China makes the decision
blah, blah, blah

What can you do: You respect and understand, you just want to meet--things do change
they may find themselves or someone dear to them in need and you would
love to have your card and information available for that critical time. DSS would love to find that perfect fit for them.

Tomorrow is a new day!

Hopefully tomorrow brings upon change!

With 11 million Americans out of work and trillions of dollars lost in the stock market's tumble, Obama emphasized that his biggest challenge is to repair the tattered economy left behind by outgoing President George W. Bush.

Obama's inauguration represents a time of renewal and optimism for a nation gripped by fear and anxiety. Stark numbers tell the story of an economic debacle unrivaled since the 1930s:

_Eleven million people have lost their jobs, pushing the unemployment rate to 7.2 percent, a 16-year high.

_One in 10 U.S. homeowners is delinquent on mortgage payments or in arrears.

_The Dow Jones industrial average fell by 33.8 percent in 2008, the worst decline since 1931, and stocks lost $10 trillion in value between October 2007 and November 2008.

Obama and congressional Democrats are working on an $825 billion economic recovery bill that would provide an enormous infusion of public spending and tax cuts. Obama also will have at his disposal the remaining $350 billion in the federal financial bailout fund. His goal is to save or create 3 million jobs and put banks back in the job of lending to customers.

Let the changes begin! I’m ready for it are you?

Finish each day and be done with it, you have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day, you shall begin it well and serenely.

Food for Thought

If ever there was a time for opportunities to standout I would say it is NOW! Everyone is acutely aware of the current economic conditions we all face in business as well as individuals. With that understanding I would ask you this….. Are you of the mindset to wait and see what’s going to happen or the thought of going and making something happen? Now I know everyone is saying, “But of course, I’m going and making something happen”. Well, if you don’t truly believe this, guess what? It’s not going to happen. Going forward and trying to make something happen and making something happen are two different things. They have two different approaches, two different attitudes, two different mindsets, and yes, two different results. It is my belief if you’re going to make something happen in this economy you’re going to have to be imaginative. You’re going to have to do something different, standout, be memorable. You’re going to have to take chances, step outside of your comfort zone. You’re going to have to break a few eggs, as the cliché goes to make an omelette. So, I’ll ask you a second question……….. Are you going to be the type of business professional who asks for permission? Or the type that ask for forgiveness? I will say this; you may be surprised how forgiving some will be when one creates business.
